Succulent Envy: California Road Trip Guide

I feel so damn lucky to live on the West Coast, especially when I am close to some pretty amazing neighbouring places, namely in Amurrica. Last month, over the course of one whirlwind week, I got to explore parts of California. In San Francisco, I snapped obvious pics and dragged myself up extreme hills with hundreds of other tourists. I drove through windy, hair pin roads to the charming town of Chico and sipped a plethora of craft beers in the dry desert. The picture-perfect, rugged landscape along the coast in Big Sur sent happy goosebumps through me, (it's no wonder Jack Kerouac wrote a book about it). If only I could have smuggled back some of the magnificent cacti I saw.
